The Lure of The LuWOW

The LuWOW Tiki Bar is well known for it’s eye-popping cinematic décor, sensational long lost sounds and above all, their amazing tropical and fun cocktails.

Created by Skipper Josh and Babzotica Collins in an intimate escapist space, where you can relax in a cosy booth surrounded by an oasis of colourful kitsch. Huge Tiki totems, all carved by Skipper Josh himself, leopard lounge suites, a jungle of plants and bamboo and a plethora of insane and wonderfully trashy Mondo objet delight the senses.

Adding to the retro Tiki vibe of The LuWOW, the background music is hand curated from the owners’ huge vinyl collection of exotica, rhythm n blues, ska, soul, surf, 60s garage, beat & rock n roll.

Cocktail Adventures

The LuWOW’s cocktail menu features refined and perfected tiki classics, blending original vintage recipes with ideas gained from years of mixing & trialing cocktails.

Using unique ingredients such as organic coconut blossom nectar as the main sweetener, blended with fresh tropical fruit juices and top shelf Rums The LuWOW cocktails are delicious, nutritious and pack a punch.

Being a Tiki bar The LuWOW specialises in rare and top shelf Rums and for those who prefer Gin, Bourbon and Tequila based cocktails also appear on the menu.

You’ll often find Skipper Josh himself shaking the drinks behind the bar. Ask him for his favourite!

Our Signature cocktails

MAI-TAI - the house favourite, a perfect blend of sour, strong and sweet, one is never enough.

PAIN KILLER - a robust punch of pineapple, dark rum, coconut and nutmeg.

BO-NA-NA - one whole fresh banana is blended with Plantation 3 Star rum, fresh lime and passion fruit, a delicious daiquiri smoothie.

VOODOO VOLCANO - our most photographed drink is a complex brew served in a flaming bowl to share with friends.

THE DON ZOMBIE - made with full strength aged rums and a home-made syrup of pink grapefruit, star anise, pomegranate and cinnamon, not for the faint hearted!

And for those who prefer a different spirit….

WAKU-AKU - a tropical twist on gin with lime, coconut blossom syrup, pineapple and apricot brandy.

HURRICANE HULA - for lovers of aged bourbon, and the frolics of New Orleans’ Mardi Grass. It’s fruity, heady and refreshing. 

BALI HI-BALL - a sweet & sassy shake with Vodka, Hibiscus, Cranberry & Lime.

CONCHITA RICA - an exotic blue Margarita.
